Bruno Bruni was born in 1935 in Gradara, Italy. He is
first of all a drawing artist. His outlines seem to search for the beauty in
things. Naturally many of his lithographs deal with fine subjects like flowers,
birds and the blossoming female body. Even with an old crumpled jacket he seems
to be fascinated by the beauty of line and form. A major part of Bruno Bruni's
work is of erotic substance. But it is a very delicate, fragile and sensual
eroticism. The almost transparent figures seem to appear for only a moment out
of some mysterious mist.
Bruno Bruni's superb drawing technique is influenced by two famous German printmakers.
Albrecht Duerer and Paul Wunderlich. He is one of the very few skilled lithographic
artists who paint all work directly onto the stone. He does not use any transfer
paper or metal plates.
Bruno, Bruni's long professional studies together with the touch of Italy's
great design tradition make him one of the most reputable lithographic artists
in the world.
